Solar energy

Bottlemate's first and second plants in Taichung are equipped with solar power generation systems. The second plant generates over 255,550 kWh annually, resulting in a reduction of over 157,566 kg of carbon dioxide emissions per year. This is equivalent to planting over 13,032 mature trees, marking our official entry into the international green initiative.

Post-Consumer Recycled Plastic (PCR)

PCR (Post-Consumer Recycled resin) is plastic that has been recycled from post-consumer waste. It is collected from discarded materials, undergoes processes such as recycling, sorting, shredding, and cleaning, and is finally transformed into plastic resin pellets.

Reducing carbon footprint by minimizing pollution through recycling.

New plastic pellets are processed from fossil fuels. In contrast, PCR (Post-Consumer Recycled resin) transforms plastic waste into new products without the need for new fossil fuels. Numerous studies indicate that recycled plastics emit over 25% fewer greenhouse gases/carbon emissions compared to new plastic pellets.

Only 14% of plastics worldwide are eventually recycled, a significantly lower rate compared to other materials like paper, which has a recycling rate of 58%, and steel, with a recycling rate as high as 90%.

Facing the increasingly urgent issue of marine debris, some companies are recycling and repurposing ocean plastic materials. By transforming the primary culprits of ecological pollution into various everyday items, these efforts not only reduce marine waste but also conserve energy and reduce carbon emissions by avoiding the use of new plastic materials. This approach is a win-win, contributing significantly through the recycling of ocean garbage.
